A few pics....

A short ride on my brothers trike convinced me that I do not want one!!!

To prove that we really were in Paris!
And these Nortons outside a store on the Champs Elysee - for the guys!

One of the most inspiring and emotional places I have ever visited!  The National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas, Staffordshire.  The plaque commemorates my Dads regiment, no longer in existence.   And Canada was represented too, a new memorial.  I hope to go back next time we are over, there just wasn't enough time to see everything.  For most of the time that we were there, I was repeatedly swallowing my tears, - what an unbelievable tribute.   My brother and his wife go on the Ride to the Wall every year, around 15,000 motor cycles all told.

Instant Rapport!!!

Lovely to meet Liz Charge, who with her husband Andy drove up from Sidmouth to Salisbury so that we could do just that!!  And it was a wonderful afternoon, just not long enough!!  I felt as if I had known her for ever - what is is about PRS that enables us to do that??  Next time we are over, I hope we can spend longer, I doubt we will ever run out of words!!

Man held as four stabbed at mosque in Birmingham

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after four people, including a policeman, were stabbed at a mosque in Birmingham.
Officers were called to the mosque on Washwood Heath Road in Ward End at about 23:00 BST on Saturday.
West Midlands Police said three men were found with stab injuries.
As police arrested the man, who is 32 years old, the officer was also wounded. All four are in a stable condition in hospital.
The incident began during the final prayer session of the evening.
Eyewitnesses report that a man of Somali appearance began attacking worshippers with a machete.
Mohammed Shafiq, the leader of national Muslim organisation the Ramadhan Foundation, said his thoughts were with the injured and their families.
"It is too early to speculate on the circumstances of the stabbings but we must be clear there should be no place for this sort of violence in our country.
"I have spoken to someone who lives a few doors down from the mosque and they described hearing an argument between some of the people inside the mosque.
"It escalated into violence and a police officer has been stabbed."
According to Mr Shafiq, a nearby resident believed the dispute was a domestic incident between members.

More bad news, sorry

Hi All,
Just received the following from Ian Lennox (Howe)

Hi all,
I had a phone call from Lois Hammond at 3.30 this afternoon to let me know that sadly Pat died last evening as is thought from her brain tumour.
At the moment understandibly, no further details are to hand, as and when they are Lois has promised to post them on the PRS website, e.g details of funeral etc.
Perhaps you will all be good enough to let any other ex PRS members who I am not in contact with know.
Many thanks,
Ian L
