Here is a little something someone sent me that is indisputable mathematical logic. It also made me Laugh Out Loud.

This is a strictly mathematical viewpoint...it goes like this:

What Makes 100%? What does it mean to give MORE than 100%? Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%? We have all been to those meetings where someone wants you to give over 100%. How about achieving 103%? What makes up 100% in life?

Here's a little mathematical formula that might help you answer these questions:

Wentworth not Chelsea !

Chelsea always a "BLOOMING" good show.
But last weekend had the weekend at Wentworth to see the Golf.
As it is covered by the Telly, I went for the Advertising &Recognition plan.
Red hot both days wore my POMPEY Hat and my PRS Shirt.
A few comments on the POMPEY hat.
But alas not one PRS person came forward - where is everyone?
May be the shirt was spotted on the Telly? :)

Have we been to Sainsbury's before?

Yesterday I was at my local Sainsbury's buying a large bag of Purina dog food for my loyal pet and was in the checkout queue when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog.

What did she think I had - an elephant? So, since I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn’t, because I ended up in hospital last time, but that I'd lost 2 stones before I woke up in intensive care with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again.

(I have to mention here that practically everyone in the queue was now enthralled with my story.)

Horrified, she asked me if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter's bum and a car hit us both.

I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard.

I'm now banned from Sainsbury's.
Better watch what you ask retired people. They have all the time in the world to think of daft things to say.

Italy /'Ampshire Reunion

Thru' the good offices of the Newsletter and the Blog there is tomorrow a reunion of the Technical "BOYS" ex 4 Tech & 5 Tech
Frank Wilce (Ex Howe)currently of Italy & 'Ampshire Boy Briggs (Ex Collingwood) are due to meet for a light bite and heavy drink at Lunch time tomorrow (Thursday 20th.).Last memory of these 2 "Gentlemen" being together is PRS in 5 T , 56 years ago. Seems like only Yesterday!!
Anyone in the area welcome the time is 12:30 at the Chilworth Arms Chilworth near Southampton.
Frank and his Wife are enroute to the West Country over from Italy for a few weeks in the Old World.
If your ears are burning at Lunch time Thursday it is a good chance you have been mentioned for Good or Bad

Oo-er (to coin a phrase)

My neighbour found out that her dog (a Schnauzer) could hardly hear, so she took it to the veterinarian.

The vet found that the problem was hair in the dog's ears. He cleaned both ears, and the dog could then hear fine.

The vet then proceeded to tell the lady that, if she wanted to keep this from recurring, she should go to the chemist and get some "Nair" hair remover and rub it in the dog's ears once a month.

The lady went to the chemist and bought some "Nair" hair remover.

At the register, the pharmacist told her, "If you're going to use this under your arms, don't use deodorant for a few days."

The lady said, "I'm not using it under my arms."

The pharmacist said, "If you're using it on your legs, don't shave for a couple of days."

The lady replied, "I'm not using it on my legs either. If you must know, I'm using it on my Schnauzer."

The pharmacist says, "Well stay off your bicycle for about a week."

Greece and finance

Tell me, folks, am I the ONLY person joining dots between Greece - a country of less than 11 million souls, an obscenely expensive Olympic Games in 2004, consequential massive debt servicing and the current financial meltdown? How, in God's name, can so few be expected to pay for so much as is now associated with The Olympics. The population of Greece is, after all, only 0.01% of the population of China, which has a growing economy, is the most recent host and is now one of the wealthiest nations on earth.

G-8 Coming our way

The group of 8 are coming to our area in June. We have already had Town Hall meetings of where we can and cannot go,to expect choppers and f-18's overhead and what lakes we can't go to.
