Enjoying the fantastic weather we had at the '97 Wilhelmshaven reunion, this beaming lot (sorry Mike...couldn't resist it) are a likely bunch of Drake lads if ever I saw one. Left to right, David Howells, Derek Beams, Pete Rees, Mike Beams (elder brother of Derek and former Head Boy no less!), Norman King, Ron Preedy and Roger Hall.

Nottingham, March 20, mid-afternoon (daylight through window a dead giveaway): TWA's Carol Goronwy hard at work discussing TWA business with Barrie Paice and others (including our very own Eileen Ripley). It did cross our minds to use the photo to try and blackmail Carol (Right Hon. Sec. of TWA, no less) into granting free life membership, but we are reliably informed that this is one of the more dignified reunion photos!

Former pupil (mid-late 1950s) and Drake House inmate, Peter Dieckmann (Rees at school), would like to trace his sister (Brigitte) whom he has lost touch with for the past 30 years. Also a former PRS pupil, she moved to Cardiff (Wales) with their stepfather in 1960 and Pete last saw her in 1974 in Cardiff at their stepfather's funeral. She had since married and now has the surname Williamson. The last time Pete actually heard anything from her was a postcard from Canada during the Montreal Olympic Games in July 1976. Any news would be greatly appreciated.

The causeway to the main site was a rough cinder track with massive potholes, at least during my era (up to the end of 1960). It was like a rodeo riding on the buses to lessons each day! And snow in winter and/or spring terms was common. Andy Renou, former pupil and artist has captured the scene perfectly in this view looking toward the main site from Fliegerdeich. Our prolonged winter temperatures make it easy to envisage the scene. More of Andy's work can be viewed on the TWA members' site.

Is there anyone out there who doesn't recognise this former PRS babe who has just celebrated her (censored) birthday? If the face doesn't ring a bell, try Barbara (Babs to her friends) Magee, who not only became head of Collingwood house during her days at PRS, but who also was tipped by the staff to become Head Girl. Sadly, Babs' PRS life was cut short due to a posting and she never had the chance to become top girl. Never mind Babs, you will always be the tops with us...your ex-PRS chums! Now enjoying life in Australia, Babs is currently thrilled to have former PRS pupils Cas and Mac (in photo) to visit on her birthday.
